Christmas came and is now gone. All that hard work of shopping, cleaning, cooking, wrapping, outfit changing, festivity hoping etc etc and then you turn around and it’s all over. Goes so fast but it was so fun and worth every minute. We had a great day today waking up to pizza breakfast and coffees. Ty didn’t sleep well at all last night so daddy and I needed to start with coffees. Then after breakfast we all opened gifts and needless to say we were short no gifts. Syd loved each and every one of her gifts and I think it will take her a good 6 months to discover all of them and their capabilities. We cooked slowly throughout the day and I made and I think succeeded on Papop’s chocolate pie. Everyone seemed to like it Papop!! After dinner we forced ourselves to eat dessert haha and now it’s time for some shut eye. Thanks to everyone for treating us all so special today!! We love you!!

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was really nice. We really just kinda hung out during the day (well me, gma, gpa and Aunt Helen…Scotty had to work L) then got ready and headed to church The service was so nice and fully kept Syd entertained the entire time. It was really well done and we can’t wait to go next year. Then we headed home for our traditional soup bowls and after the kids went to bed wrapped presents and got all ready for the big day!! We didn’t wait because we thought they’d get a clue but more so that they keep us always moving moving moving so once they sleep we can actually get stuff done J
Snowflake Lane
Went to Snowflake Lane earlier this week and it was pretty cool. It would have been cooler if they would have closed down the street but between the lights, music and fake snow Syd & Ty were entertained the full 30 minutes so really that is what counts :)

Making our ornaments
Last week we went to Paint the Town to continue our tradition of making our own ornaments. I met my girlfriend and her two little one's and we had a good time. Still more work for mom but I figure in a few years we'll be able to sit back and drink coffee and chat while the kids do it haha. It was fun though and captured some good hand and foot prints on the kids.
Lia and Catie having a great time. Lia I think loved the taste of that paint :)
Ty settling back in after his foot was tickled (sorry Lanei wasn't there yet so couldn't do the painting and take pics at the same time :)

Syd ever so patiently waiting to leave after she left her handprint.
A few first...
A few first to share:
Port Townsend
Well unfortunately I forgot my freaking camera!!! But gma didn't so will try to get some pics from her at some point. We just spent the weekend away with the Herzog clan. It was a good weekend with the whole family. It was interesting sleeping with both of the kids in the same room but for the most part they did just fine. Syd came down with a cold there so she was a bit extra whiney but did well considering. She had so much fun with her cousins. Auntie Melissa bought her a baby stroller for xmas so we took it with us and the cousins would buckle her in and wheel her around like a crazy lady and she just loved it. The wind blowing in her 'hairs' it was hilarious. Both the kids got so many wonderful gifts, they are loved that is for sure. I think it's gonna take Syd a full year to explore all of her new toys she has already received and to come.

Santa visit
On Friday we went to visit Santa. Got everyone dressed and headed to the dreadful mall. Santa needs to find better places to be because it seems like everyone is always at the mall!!! But it was worth this shot for sure. Ty just kept his eyes on us and you can see both of their little hands are all bunched up. I think it's a security thing for them. If I bunch my hand this will all end soon...haha We put Syd on Santa's lap last and she almost broke down but Scott and I were being overly dramatic with OMG you are on Santa's lap....WOW!!! Over and over and over hoping to get a good shot. So we got two not sure kiddos with Santa and that was fine by us. These pictures are always wonderful to have over the years.

December - Time to decorate
It's freezingggg cold here. We got a tree last night and my poor kiddos almost froze. Syd was running through the trees kinda stiff like and my face froze so I couldn't keep telling the guy helping us that I didn't like that one...and that one...and that one haha. We bundled little Ty Ty up nice and snug with me and put Syd's puffy coat on and headed to our tree farm very close to us. It was lots of fun and we ended up with a grand fir. We usually get the doug firs but they didn't have any nice ones (face wasn't frozen by this point). They trimmed it up for us and it's beautiful in the house. Next is to decorate...... Good times, love xmas!!!
