Seattle's Winter Wonderland

It's been a winter wonderland here.  So unexpected especially as compared to last year.  We had snow for about 3 days and it was fun but man I was ready for it to melt so we could get out some.  It was cold cold cold, about 14 at  night and one day the high was only 23.  Brrrr as Syd would say.  Ty enjoyed the snow except when he realized when he put his hand in it that his hand was then extremely cold he decided he didn't like it.  I did realize I need to go buy them some more snow like clothing.  Poor guy had to wear my scarf haha.  Enjoy.
Burying our piggies in the snow as we walk

Nana and Popop got to have some fun in the snow

Thanksgiving Dinner where only half the table is looking at the camera

After the snow melted we went downtown to see the big tree lighting and then went to Macy's to Santaland where it's super cool unless you want to buy something.

Nana and Ty checking out Rudolph

Look momma it's Santa!!

Nana wanted us all to get a pic with Santa so we did.  Syd wanted nothing to do with him unless we had good distance so momma had to sit on Santa's lap....Love that :)  Syd did get a candy cane afterwards which per her was the best part of the evening.

And here is our first sledding adventure.  They both loved loved it.  Thankfully Baley and Mikaela (our neighbor girls) were willing to take the kids down a million times.  Until I finally had to say we've got to go inside and thaw out.

Hanging with Nana and Popop

We are having "good times" as Syd would say with Nana and Popop.  When she wakes up from her nap or nigh night she asks for them and when it's just mom and dad well boo hiss where is nana and popop.  Here are some fun pics so far.  More to come as the Arctic blizzard has hit Seattle this week.

Not the best daddy idea....

Found some buttons to push at the Children's Museum

Nana and Syd at the Childrens Museum

Posing with Clifford

Popop doesn't understand that we don't sit still and read...we like to squirm around and pretend we aren't listening as well

Great Aunt Toni sends fabulous puffy skirt

We don't have a lot of skirts around and we especially don't have skirts that are this puffy.  This is her "go to" skirt when asked what she'd like to wear for the day.  It twirls, bounces and spins around.  What more can a lady ask for!!!  Thank you GATFSD!!  Love you.

September, October and now November.....

Well I'll say I don't have much of an excuse except that my camera was in the shop for about a month and it's just taken me a while to get back on track.  The weather has turned here and we are expecting our first snowfall this Sunday.  It's a longshot but always fun to hope.  "They" say we're suppose to have a rough winter but I'm still not sure who "they" are.  Syd is talking up a storm, almost too much and always at a decibel to ensure our neighbors can hear.  Ty is moving along and now running.  He'll do anything to keep up with his sister.  Evidentally I've fallen into 2nd place and his sister is now the coolest thing since sliced bread.  I'm over it but it did take me a while.  I'm still #1 when someone hurts themselves or is tired.  So enjoy the pictures from the last few weeks and will be on top of things as the holidays approach and we start doing lots of fun stuff.

Kiddos waiting in line for the train at Issaquah Salmon Days.  It's a fun little festival with lots of fun kid stuff to do
Patiently waiting in line for their turn.  Finley, Trevin, Jet and Syd.  Ty not pictured in Stroller.

Here we go people!!

Well we've decided we don't like jump houses.....a very dramatic moment.
Now we did love love love touring the firetruck.  Coolest thing ever!!

Ending the day with a family photo in front of the hit attraction

We then thought why not go to dinner with 6 kids and 6 adults....a little scary as the ratio turns against us each year.
Now skip to end of October and "trick or treat" time.  Syd didn't really know what was going on but by the end of trick or treating she had the knocking on the door, saying her line and getting candy down like a champ.  We LOVE candy!!  She also loves her halloween costume as you can see.  She's my little garden knome.
And here is our little garden gnome part deux.  He kept that beard on like he owned it!!

Would NOT smile for one darn picture!!
Family photo shot with more no smiling going on.  We were ready to trick or treat.

We finally have our candy and it's time to eat it and read some Halloween books.

Moving into November we've decided why does sister get all the hair clips, why can't Ty try them.  I say why not little dude.  Let's do it!

Had another successful friends Thanksgiving, the 10th annual.  Didn't get a ton of pics but this is cute of Syd brushing Uncle Chad's Movember Beard.
Yeah Nana's here!!!!!
And look Aunt CC sent me some Meerkats.  She's the coolest ever!!!!  Ty was excited cause he got two of them and it was only a matter of minutes before Syd riped one out of his hands so she could have two.

More to come, gonna upload some videos now!!!  Love to all, and happy thanksgiving!!
