Aunt CC sent us some kitty cat slippers for Halloween that make noise so had to get it all on film but since it was just me I had to do it in 3 different segments. Enjoy!

6 Weeks along
Well we've been quite busy in the Herzog home especially since momma has been on her own. Little Tyler is growing up so fast, and now that he is eating much much better (even though I'm exclusively pumping :( he is eating and is gaining the oz quickly. We went in at his 5 week weigh in and he had gained 21 oz in just 9 days so no only did he catch up on the weeks he wasn't gaining but he is right on track in the 50% percentile for weight. Syd is starting to really be curious of her brother. She's sat on his head, tried to poke his eyes out, pull him by his arm, take his paci etc etc and yet Ty LOVES it. He very seldom cries unless she head buts him and is just as curious of her. It's very cute and I see great friends in the future. Ty is so much more aware of his surroundings and soon I'll post a smile video so you can see his latest accomplishment :) Here are some photos of the last few weeks.
First Bath (and no I didn't wait 6 weeks but we did wait until maybe 3...haha)
Aunt Vickie gave Syd a huge lamb and she couldn't stop saying "WOWWWWW"
A visit from the Phillips family
Great Aunt Helen came to stay with us for a whole week and it was WONDERFUL!!! Syd got to make some cookies and for sure kept Aunt Helen on her toes and on the go all week long :)
Tummy time with sister
Looks like someone just scared the hizzle out of the little man but he was just chillin

First Video of babes
Here are just some more pics for everyone. We've been busy and had so much help it's been so wonderful. We had Nana for 3 weeks (and looking forward to another visit very soon), Grandma and Grandpa and wonderful Great Aunt Helen!!! This week is the start to being on our own. Scotty is taking this week off and then next week it's all back to the real world :( I am not a fan of the real world but my girlfriends say I can do it so I suppose I'll give it a shot haha. Tyler is 4 weeks old tomorrow and just such a precious little bean, although a super LAZY eater we still love him lots and are just so excited to watch him grow up with his sister. More to come as usual.

Tyler Gerald Herzog has arrived
Well baby boy has finally arrived into the world and we are so excited to have him. We got a call on Wed morning from our nurse saying she was ready for us to come in and be induced (12 days post due date). We checked in at about 10am and had pitocin dripping by 10:45. Contractions started up but just weren't painful enough the doc said so she broke my water. She said by accident but whatever works I say and let me tell you it worked for sure!! The contractions started hardcore and my nurse asked me whenever I wanted my epidural to say the word and within minutes I said the word :) I had my epidural by about 230 and by 430 I was 10cm and ready to push. Such a different experience than Syd's 18 hour birthing plan. I started to push a bit after 5 and by 528 little Tyler was born. It was such a great experience, being very nervous to be induced after hearing so many not so good stories. But I think it helped that he was really ready to be born so it worked out well. He was 9lbs 2ozs and 20.5in long. He's very healthy with all fingers and toes and we're learning about eachother everyday. He's precious and his big sister is curious about him and likes to touch him every now and again. So far Syd's adjusting well to the change in the house....and we are hoping that only continues. Grandma and grandpa were here until Sunday and nana and papop are still here. Papop leaves tomorrow and nana is here through the middle of next week. I'm still not sure how I will do this solo but figure I'll face that when the time comes and just take advantage of the help that I have now. More to come of course as we go. Love to all and thank you to all of you for your calls/emails/texts/etc.
