Christmas Day

Christmas day has finally arrived and there are some serious gifts under the tree.  The kids did really well opening them for a bit then it was hard to stay focused.  Ty was so exhausted afterwards he had to take 2 naps.  We couldn't open stockings until later that evening.  It's hard to be 17 mos and keep up with his sister, which is his goal in life.  We had a great xmas and were so happy to spend it with everyone and that daddy didn't have to work!
First gift = book.  There was some movement out there to see how many kids could open and read a book as their first present.  We opened it first but I wouldn't say we read it all the way.  Shoulda picked a shorter book.

Just woke up and all the excitment

This is what Syd had been waiting for from Santa, her mickey mouse slippers.  Life was good after this present.

Ty got dinosaur slippers from Toy Story.  It's more fun for us watching him walk in them

This appeared to be the hit of the day....baby dolls and bottles, my little lady is a girly girl...now where did she get that??

Ty enjoyed his gifts but appeared more interested in McKenzie's gifts.  She shared which was nice of her

Ty opened Flicker, a talking flashlight.  Ty is obsessed with lights turning on and off

My little hobo daughter.  She's got her luggage, every piece of clothing and shoes she basically got and her baby.  She's a happy lady.  We couldn't get her night gown off all day, it was her xmas outfit

Aunt Lindy humoring Ty Ty :)

Aunt Helen got the kids a table and chairs and it's a HUGE hit.  They love to sit at that table and feel like such "big" kids when doing so.  Syd has asked to do meals there.  We promise her one day but momma's not ready for that mess yet

Ty Ty showing McKenzie where his nose is

Xmas Table

Stocking time

Love shaking up snow globes

I think McKenzie's biggest highlight for xmas was being able to try her first puff.  She didn't know how awesome food really was and fun to do

Look look I got one!!!

Christmas Eve - the fun stuff

After all the forced posing pictures and having to sit down for dinner we finally got to start making cookies for Santa.  Aunt Helen led the way and I must say was more patient than I in making them with both of the kids.  They had fun and at every moment Aunt Helen was looking away dough or anything that looked edible was shoved into mouths haha

Decorating time...aka eating time

Notice both mouths here

We've got our Christmas jammies on and we are ready for santa.  First must release the night time crazies prior to bedtime

Here ya go Santa.  Cookies and milk for you.  A very small bowl of reindeer food (sorry reindeers...maybe more next year) and Jingle and Snowflake for the ride home.

Christmas Week

We had a wonderful Xmas Week with the Herzog family.  Our most favorite guest was baby McKenzie.  She hung just fine with her cousins and they were very sweet to her to welcome her to the house.

Bath time with cousins.  McKenzie sat in the bumbo but little did we all realize was that she was too light to weight it all down.  Shocking as that never happened with mine haha.  Just a little bitty bean.

Too much excitment with her cousins

Bayley and Mikaela brought over xmas gifts for the kiddos.  Very sweet, the kids loved them

The infamous picture time after church.  No child would smile or look at the camera all at once.  Currently my life story.

Sweet baby girl!

Little lady's first christmas eve

Cousin shot.....I'm hoping when they are older they may cooperate.  At least then I can bribe them with candy

Hey let's take a pic with momma....

Now let's take a pic with Grammy and Granpy

Two out, one left with Aunt Helen :)
