Visit from Aunt CCDC and Cousin Crischelle

Scott left for Licoln, Nebraska for a Husky football game so reinforcements arrived to Seattle to hang out with their favorite sister/cousin and help survive the 4 days.  It was so much fun and as I know they were ready to go home I was so grateful and had such a blast spending that time with them!!!  The kids were on the go at all times, as to keep everyone on their toes.  Here are some pics, not in order but some pics of the fun times we had.  **some pictures courtesy of Michelle Deal Atkins Photography (a San Diego based photographer).

We went to a beach after picking up Crischelle to wait for Aunt CCDC to arrive

First day of preschool

Well we read all the what to expect books that we could find in regards to preschool and prepared her as much as we could for her first day.  She woke up and the first thing she said was "It's the first day of preschoooooool!!!"  She was so excited and after week 2 remains very excited for school.  It's so nice for her to get some socialization and outside of the house some and so nice for me to spend some quality time with Tyler (no I don't ignore Wyatt).  The first day I picked her up she ran up to me jumped in my arms and gave me a big hug with a smile.  I mean how could you ever forget that moment!!

First day of school breakfast.

She is such my big girl

Here is her preschool

The teacher asked if she wanted to say bye to daddy and she gave a slight turn and a later daddy.  Scott said he got a bit teary as she walked away.

August good times

The remaining month of August was a good one.  We officially have summer so it's always nice to get some warm weather before the rain and darkness show up for the next 10 months.  The kids spend most of their life outside so we're gonna have a tough transition when it's too cold/rainy but that's ok, they are Seattlelites so will get use to it.  Wyatt is doing great.  He's such a sweet little guy and prefers it quiet around especially when eating.  He's not a fan of someone jumping right in his face and yelling HI BABY!!!!  Shocking right?  I try to explain that to the kids but like you might guess it doesn't work.  Tyler is a talking machine now yet he still likes to skip the first letters of words so it can be tricky to understand him.  For example, "uck" could mean truck, clock, stuck etc etc...you get the idea :)  Sydney is 3.  We've got some serious attitude and independent issues going on.  Oh man she tries our patience but thankfully she is pretty cute otherwise.  She loves to play dress up, and the imaginary world is expanding by the day.  We have two imaginary friends, Dedra and Dollah.  They go with us most places and we make sure not to forget them.  Love to all!
Wyatt in his Husky gear.  Dude has more Husky gear than the average fan.

Wyatt and Ridley, best friends forever haha, 4 months apart.

Tyler sitting on the potty asking me to help him go poop.  It's a hard reality when mamma can't help you do something

Lord please let my kids want to go to the UW or daddy will be a sad daddy

Our first official movie night.  We watched Winnie the Pooh.  I must say my memory of it was way cooler than watching it at 33.  Not so cool anymore haha but the kids seemed to enjoy it.  We are big Tigger fans.

Here is the movie, we got a video rental store....they do still have those.
A quick video of one of our summer days.
