Family Photos

This year was an interesting year of family photos.  Wyatt is just that age where getting a good picture is hard to come by.  I didn't love a ton of the pictures this year but it does, I suppose, represent the life we call craziness.  Here are a few of my favorites.  The kids took pictures for about an hour and a half and the bribing of anything I had in my purse or stroller was used.  They are pretty cute though, I must admit.  And seeing us all together is a great feeling that is for sure!!

Not much can beat that smile

Pure craziness

Our last picture of the day actually turned out semi good

Wow.....who knew this world of American Girl

I hesitated but knew in my heart that Syd might faint if she could go to one of these stores.  Needless to say she had a magical time this evening at her girlfriend's 4th birthday party.  She actually did pretty good when I said we couldn't take her home with us but I mentioned we should ask Santa for a doll.....well maybe not an American Doll but a doll special like that.  Seriously, that stuff is sooooo spendy but they give a good message and my daughter loves it all so I'm going with it.  We had dinner with our baby dolls, strawberry lemonade, cake, ice cream and lots of yummy food.  I'm exhausted from all this Doll talk.  We talked about it allll the way home and until those little eyelids shut down for the night.  Super cute!

They bring out little teacups for their dolls, how cute

The birthday girl, Amie

We had a fun momma and daughter afternoon together.

A few other September things to share

Just a few other things going on this month.  Tyler now has a big boy bed.  He's been crawling up and over for a while and finally told us he'd like to take the side off.  So far so good.  He doesn't get out much and hasn't fallen out.  Today he got up from his nap, went potty, put his big boy pants back on and found his daddy outside....um who is this kid??  This last weekend the kids also got to go to their first Husky football game.  They had a blast but when I tell you they were worn out they were WORN OUT.  Wyatt and I had a nice day together of me chasing him around everywhere haha (note screaming pic below with more details).

Ready to go to bed like a big boy
This little guy has thrown my mommy skills some.  He has quite the temper tantrum and when he flips out he now gets strapped into his high chair cause I just have NO CLUE as to what to do otherwise.  We are testing our boundaries nice and early with this one.....

Ty's first day of pre-pre-school

Mommy and Daddy made it back into town for our little boy's first day of school.  He was so incredibly jazzed about it, he would have run all the way there.  Such a happy little guy and had a great first week.  A little tired but outside of that he can't wait to go back.
When Tyler grows up, it only makes sense he wants to be a pumpkin.  A great big orange one he told me

Off we go

Syd's first day of preschool part 2

Scott and I were in New Orleans for her first day but Grammy/Grandpy and Aunt Helen were sure to make it as special as we would.  She picked out her dress, ate her breakfast and was ready to roll.  Her first week was a little rough.  I think she thought more of her friends from last year were going to be there so it's been hard for her to open up and make some new friends.  Hoping for a better week this week.

Nurse = what she wants to be when she grows up

Goodbye Summer

Ended the summer with some good ole homemade ice cream.  Back to school next week.

Our first real family hike

Well we went on our first official hike Labor Day weekend and I must say it wasn't too bad at all.  The hike was a bit steep at times with 40lbs on your back but I chalked it up as a workout.  The kids did awesome, they walked about 1.3mi up and 1.3 mi back.  The back included a lot of whining but who could blame them I kinda wanted to whine as well.  It was fun once we got to the top it was cold river water to dip our toes in and eat a well deserved lunch.  All in all a great day for sure.  Lovin the weather lately!!

So badly wants to go into the water but it's just too cold mamma, tooooo cold!!!

We made it and survived

Mamma's birthday

August was a very busy month for the entire family so we wrapped up our birthday summer with my birthday where all I wanted to do was hang out with my little bitty shuggies.  Had a very nice family day together.

Terceks wedding

We had a big wedding weekend late August.  Little Wyatt got to stay home with a babysitter as we had a few late nights.  The older kiddos did great and danced the night away.  In fact, we play wedding a lot now and all we do is dance.  I'm good with that concept ;)  Syd was the flower girl with Amie and it was seriously the cutest thing ever.  No pics of that unfortunately as scott was tucked into the crowd with Ty and I was in front.  But she did some dancing during the ceremony song and her and Amie threw pedals during most of the ceremony.  It was cute, priceless.

Dancing machine!!!

We got to light sparklers together outside.  Syd was skeptical but Ty loved it

By the end of the night Ty asked me to hold him but not to sit down, to keep dancing

DONE

Little Huck Fin was tuckered out

So cute.....they were secretly holding him up as he was zoned out

Passed out before we even got to the road with their bouquets
