We love food.....

We started giving Syd some rice cereal and it took her a bit but she's lovin it. It's fun to get messy and try new things. And can I just say I didn't realize the change it would have in her diaper. Pewwww Weeeeee is all i have to say haha.

Syd has been sitting up more and more and I must say enjoys that way more than rolling over or being on her tummy. She's getting good at sitting up and staying there by herself. She's really getting the hang of it. She's grabbing at everything now so it's getting harder to chat on the phone without interuption. This stage is so much fun, we're really enjoying her a ton. Still sleeping like a champ but we've stopped swaddling her for naps so naps have been touch and go lately. Love to all!!

October

Been an exciting month with lots going on. Syd is growing so fast everyday. She's such a chatty lady these days. She just recently started saying "La la" using her tongue and everything. Super cute I must admit :) She is seeing the world more and more everyday. She loves to just be held so she can look at everything. She's loves laying on her blanket and playing with all of her toys. Still not a huge fan of tummy time but we still get quite a bit of time that way. We've been doing a lot more singing and dancing with her so it's been fun, although if you were walking down the street and looked into our house you may think we are crazy ;)

We went to the pumpkin patch a few weekends ago and after the long drive and packing her around I realized I could have just bought a pumpkin at the grocery store and put it in the backyard in order to get pictures.....I was just so excited to take her to the patch. She had lots of fun though. We were pulled by a tractor to the patch (not sure how she felt about that) and then got to play in the dirt, take lots of pictures and then stare at everything. This place was pretty cool and will be lots of fun for her when she's a bit older.
Passed out from all the excitment
Halloween was fun. Her grandma and grandpa got her the mummy onesie and then she was also dressed as a cow this year. I took her to work and showed her off. She, I think, was the prettiest little lady of all. She had a great time checking out all of the other costumes and I got to eat all the candy so worked out perfectly. Then we came home and we handed out candy to the trick or treaters. It was a good night. Oh and can't forget Lucy-Belle. She was our little prisoner dog this year. Such a sport. I think she was most excited due to all the attention she got. Poor furry girl.
And must show Scott and I dressed up for Halloween....with our babysitter. It was our first time using a babysitter so needless to say I was very anxious so we made her take a picture with us...she probably thinks we are crazy. We went to Vick's for her party and it was lots of fun. I was a witch like person and Scotty was "Joe the Plumber" (no Scott is not a real McCain supporter...don't worry). It was a fun adult night!!

It's getting chilly

Oh how the weather has changed :( So sad, I miss our days outside staring at the trees and SUN! It hasn't gotten really bad yet but we've had some really rainy days. That's ok though, I have the stroller shield to protect Syd from the rain so we can still go running......right haha
Auntie Tercee watched Syd for us one afternoon so Scotty and I could go to a football game
Daddy and baby having some grub
Sydney's newest thing is crying when we get out into big crowds. She calms down pretty quickly but she is becoming more aware of her surroundings by the day. I think it's cute of course just because she recognizes me and I'm her favorite haha.
We got Nana's jumper in the mail and she's liking that more and more everyday. Still not bouncing like a crazy lady but loves to hang in it and chew on whatever is around her.
Still no teeth but she's drooling like a St. Bernard so soon she'll have some teeth. I know it works but still can't picture feeding her when she has teeth...
We went to the park today and I put her in the swing. Yes I know she's still too young but I wanted to take pictures and it was fun for ME... Yes this is a face of disgust, she doesn't hide her emotions
Today I heard some noise going on in the nursery while Syd was sleeping. Little did i know she got a snuggle furry friend. Yes I moved her but it was so cute seeing them snuggle together. It's nice and warm in her nursery so Marbles just flocks to the heat.
Anywho, next week is Halloween and we'll have pics of her in her cow costume. We're gonna have a busy day of showing her off. Lots of love to everyone!

4 months old already.....

Our baby girl is 4 months old. She is growing up so fast and it's been such an exciting ride so far. Little miss is really enjoying sitting up these days and is experiencing the world each day more and more. She weighed in at 13lbs and 11ozs which put her at the 50th percentile. She's a very long little lady at 26 inches which is the 85-90th percentile. We are all on track and very healthy. We're going to be starting food next month so should be interesting. I'm kinda excited but in a way we've got a really good thing down now so don't want to change it up. But I'm getting use to things not staying the same for long. Enjoy the pictures!
All snug ready to go for a jog!

Month 3 to 4

Ok here is the second rolling over video where I don't sound like a crazy lady. I am just so excited for our little girl.

We've been staying really busy as the summer ends. I'm kinda getting bummed about the rain and dark days to come but that's ok, I'm hoping little shuggie will decide to just sleep in longer and snuggle more. We wake up every morning and head downstairs to say hi to all of our jungle friends in the jungle gym. It's so fun to play with them. She's starting to kinda grab at them and if she can get them in her mouth she's a happy girl for sure.

Here we are just hangin out proped on the couch. This is one of my first days in size 2 diapers so we thought we'd show them off. Syd loves to sit up or stand that is her most favorite thing to do these days.

Right when daddy walks through the door little miss must be held by him. She's just all smiles when daddy comes home.

We only have a few days left to wear summer dresses so we're squeezing them in when we can. I believe Aunt KK got this for us.

And wanted to show you bath time with Grandma. She is becoming crazy baby in the bath these days. Lots of splashing. Soon we won't be able to bath her on the counter.

Roll over roll over roll over!!!!

More to come but wanted to post this for everyone. I've got another video I'm uploading that does't sound like I'm a crazy woman :) Our baby girl is growing up so fast. Enjoy and more to come!!

Lots of catching up to do....

Well we've been really busy here with trips, visitors, new adventures and lots of growing up!!! Wanted to first in honor of football season beginning show the video of Miss Syd in her Husky Booties that her Aunt Linda's mom made for her. Scott really wishes he could have a pair of his own :)

From Sydney:

I discovered my feet at around week 7. Still haven't done much with them but was quite shocked to realize they were attached to me.

I also got in my bouncy chair for the first time and just really love it when the puppy dog sings to me (7 weeks). I giggle and honestly can sit in that chair for hours. When Nana was here we baked cookies and she sat in there the entire time just happy as a clam.

I met up with my best friend Finley and her brother Jet at the park one day as well (8 weeks). It was lots of fun. Mom put me in the "play saucer" as I like to call it and I stared at the tall trees and chatted with best friend Fin. We had a great time...

Had a visit from grandma and grandpa before their trip to Minnesota (9 weeks). Everytime grandma holds me I just can't help but fall asleep. It's just so soothing. Oh and grandpa changed my diaper. He thanked me for having easy cleanup!!

Time to go swimming (9 weeks).....It was Terceks birthday party and everyone was swimming so I had to try it out and see what it was all about. I pretty much drooled on my mom's shoulder the whole time but really loved it and can't wait to splash around on my own one day.

I got a wonderful visit from Nana at around 10 weeks. She held me a ton and we got to know eachother more and more each day. She fed me bottles and we played in the jungle gym where she introduced me to some toys. She showed me how to hold them in my hands so I can try to put them in my mouth. It's still quite tricky but I'm getting better and better everyday.

We had such a great trip with Nana that we decided we should fly down to San Diego (week 11) to visit our cousins and Aunt Toni. The flight down went really well. Mom was SUPER glad that Nana was there to help because she was pretty anxious but I did really well and slept and ate the whole time so no fussing from me at all. The trip back went well but mom looked pretty exhausted when we got home. I was really tired as well and we all got a good nights sleep. The trip was so fun. I got to meet all of my California cousins and hang out with my Fabulous Aunt Toni. I got to dip my toes in the ocean for the first time and it was a bit chilly at first but I didn't mind at all. I love the water!!!

Hanging out with the cousins staring at the fan, that fan is amazing!!

Baby Syd in the Ocean with a cameo from Baby Jason :)

Week 11 - I sat in my bumbo chair for the first time. I'm not sure what I think about it but it's ok. I like to be able to kick my feet so the bumbo may be more fun later but it was interesting to say the least. Wasn't quite sure what to think about it. Oh and had to throw in a pic taking a nap on mom and dad's bed while mom got ready for the day. How cute am I!!!???

Week 12 - We aren't really rolling over but she's starting to show some signs of the skill. Reminder as you watch this video she may not look really happy but this is because we made her do it like 10 times before filming it :)

Last but not least, had our 2 month appointment and besides the drama of getting my shots my stats are as follows: 23.5 inches long (75%), 11lbs 11ozs (50%), and my head is in the 60th percentile at 15 9/16. Lots of love to everyone!!!
